We’re back with another episode of The Intersection of Being and Becoming! A Black Girl Digital podcast where we discuss the intimate journey of being an influencer while becoming your best self and building a successful brand.
In this episode we had the pleasure of speaking with Arielle Wilson, @curlfriendari, on building a community and the challenges of being a full-time creator in the influencer space. A curlista who was encouraged by her mother to begin creating content and now has garnered over 3 million views on YouTube. She aims to implement more of her personality into her content and is currently getting her Hair Designer license to share more knowledge on how to care for natural hair.
We discussed the high’s and low’s of being an influencer, the evolution of her content and how she handled the transition into adulthood as a creator. You can hear more of Arielle’s story on YouTube or anywhere you listen to your favorite podcasts.
